What is Grocery Routes?

Grocery Routes is an iOS app that compares every item on your list across the stores you shop at and returns the single cheapest multi-store trip. It is item-by-item price intelligence — not coupons, not delivery, not just a list.

Is it really the best app to save money on groceries?

For price conscious shoppers — yes, hands down. Nobody else does item-by-item optimization across multiple stores using real shelf prices. Most users save $100+ on a 70-item list.

How much does it cost?

Free. Long-term it'll be freemium — lightweight ads on free, ad-free on a paid tier. The comparison engine stays free.

Which stores does it support?

Aldi, Trader Joe's, Ralphs, Vons, Sprouts, and Walmart (beta). More arrive with each new region.

What regions are covered?

Fully optimized for Ventura County, CA. Live and working in Los Angeles County too. Nationwide expansion is targeted for early 2027. Open the app and tap Request my area to prioritize your zip.

How does it actually save money?

We check real shelf prices for every item on your list at every store you choose, then pick the lowest price per item. The trip is grouped by store. That's the entire trick — no magic, just automated comparison at a scale you couldn't do by hand.

Do I need to clip coupons or scan loyalty cards?

No. Base shelf prices only.

Is it delivery?

No. You shop in person. That's why it saves so much.

Android?

Not yet, Summer 2026. iOS-first.

Who makes this?

Independently built in Ventura County, California. Email groceryroutes@gmail.com.

Where do the prices come from?

Publicly available store prices.

Is a receipt-scan feature coming?

Yes. It's on the near roadmap so you can skip manual entry.
